Dan Biehl is in his third year coaching track and field for the Yellowjackets and first as an assistant coach. In his first two seasons, Biehl served as a volunteer coach and has also worked with Montana Class AA track and field power, Billings West HS.
Prior to coaching at MSUB, Biehl was a walk-on at the University of Idaho where he pole vaulted and worked on becoming a decathlete. His career was ended because of an injury which led him to pursue coaching. He has coached five all-conference high school pole vaulters as well as a state record holder. Biehl is a certified strenght and conditioning specialist, U.S. pole vault safety certified coach and is a level I track and field coach.
Biehl graduated from Montana State University Billings in 2006 with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance and a minor in Coaching. He was on the Dean's List for three years at MSUB. He received his M.S. in Sports Fitness and Recreation Management from MSUB in 2009. |
